2009 Yamaha Star Motorcycles VMax

Though it has the power of a literbike, ergos remain cruiser oriented, upright and comfortable in the saddle.
Power for the new VMax is provided by a liquid cooled 1679cc V4 engine that puts out a claimed 197.4 hp.
The 2009 VMax has a 4-1-2-4 exhaust system with titanium muffler canisters.
The multifunction meter includes a speedo, tach w/shift light and indicator lights.
The 320mm wave-type front discs have a Brembo radial pump master cylinder and radial mount Sumitomo 6 piston front brake calipers.
With the horsepower this beast has, taillights are all a lot of people will be seeing when it blows by in a blur.
Mounted on the tank is a electro luminescent multifunction display with an odometer, clock, dual trip meters, fuel guage, gear position indicator, coolant temp, mpg, intake air temp, throttle valve opening angle, stopwatch and countdown indicator.
The new VMax may have received a complete technological overhaul,but the look is still pure VMax.
No longer a concept, the new VMax will be hitting the streets in November.
Big titanium cans complement the overall muscle bike appeal of the 2009 VMax.
The new mill has lightweight forged aluminum pistons, fracture split connecting rods, and a chain and gear-driven camshaft system.

The historic aircraft carrier, the USS Midway, provided an exellent atmosphere in which to introduce the newest star in Star Motorcycles' stable.
Test rider Mike Ulrich had the privilege of introducing the 2009 VMax to the crowd.
And from out of the smoke, the 197.4 hp beast arose.
With the power of the new VMax, Mike can't help but be a little throttle happy.
Bulbs were flashing and cameras were rolling when the 2009 VMax was unveiled.
It was a special night for Star. So special, they brought over the past and present of the VMax, including its original creator (far left).

Attendees were treated to a lecture about catapulting planes off of aircraft carriers before they got to see the motorcycle Star hopes will launch riders into nirvana.
