Sena Technologies, Inc., a Bluetooth innovator in the motorcycle and outdoor activities market, just announced the release of its Bluetooth Stereo Headset and Intercom designed especially for half helmets, the SPH10H. The SPH10H features the latest Bluetooth 3.0 technology and allows riders to wirelessly make mobile calls, listen to stereo or mp3 player music or audio instruction of GPS navigation. Riders can also effortlessly hold conversations with other motorcyclists or passengers via the SPH10H's four-way Bluetooth intercom system. The unique ear flap design of the SPH10H yields a wide range of usage with half-helmets for motorcyclists or for other outdoor activities.

“Ever since we developed our first and flagship Sena Bluetooth headset and intercom, the SMH10, we knew we wanted to design a system that would fit flawlessly into half helmets,” said Tae Kim, President and CEO of Sena Technologies, Inc. “We’re very pleased with the new SPH10H because it encompasses the entire system into one unit at an affordable price. With other companies’ systems, one must first purchase a Bluetooth headset-intercom unit, then purchase a half helmet adaptor kit.”

The Sena SPH10H’s durable, sweat and water resistant design provides a stable and secure fit so motorcycle and scooter riders do not have to worry about the unit or its microphone slipping. The SPH10H features a unique ear pad design for easy installation and is also compatible with “shorty” helmets. It also provides peace of mind for outdoor sports enthusiasts such as bicyclists, skateboarders, and more because the headset/intercom system will stay fixed in place, even in the most active of settings. The SPH10H is equipped with Sena's exclusive versatile Jog Dial for easy headset controls. The unit’s battery is long-lasting and keeps the headset charged for up to 10 hours of talk time and seven days of stand-by time.

Thanks to Bluetooth specification 3.0 and advanced digital processing technology, the SPH10H provides Bluetooth Intercom up to 500 meters (5400 yards/0.30 miles) in open terrain. As technology upgrades for the SPH10H are developed and become available, users may download and install the latest firmware at no charge.

The SPH10H provides crystal clear, natural sound quality, and is integrated with an audio booster providing sufficient sound level for noisy environments. The SPH10H offers Bluetooth connection with mobile phones, Bluetooth audio devices, and GPS navigators. Users may also use Bluetooth music playback control through Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). One of the features users especially like on Sena products is its individual volume control for all devices paired to the Bluetooth headset/intercom. The SPH10H contains this feature, and also allows riders to use it while charging.

The SPH10H supports a two-year international warranty providing peace of mind for all customers. Technical support is also always available from Sena for any questions users may have during the installation, setup or use of Sena products. The SPH10H is $219 and is available at www.SenaBluetooth.com or through Sena’s network of retailers in the United States and Canada.
