After i sold my BMW K1200ltc,i wanted a sport tourer.Rather than a BMW GT i decided on the FJR.It has been hell since! The heat issue that they had was supposed to be fixed, but after calls to Yamaha and being limited to riding in temeratures below 60 degress i am limited to looking at it versus riding it!Sqwat over a kettle bbq while sitting in front of a open oven at about 450 and you get the idea!

Yamaha customer service and dealers are the biggest anti-customer manufacture on this planet! If they do not lie to the RTA after witnessing what i am complaining about, there insulting you by talking behind your back.I have a letter to the president of Yamaha which should be delivered today. If that fails, the next step is the crusher with sequential pictures to be posted FJR FORUM.

Beyond that,it has to be every thing they say it it.

I just traded my 06 Stratoliner for a lighter bike because being 72 years old it got to be too heavy for me. I think its great that they finally come out with a fairing for the bike - but cost too much. I purchased both a used outer/inner HD fairing and after some modifications I installed it on the bike. However I had to cut the bottom half of where the radio is to go on the inner fairing so that I could get the proper tilt for the windscreen. Total cost for the used unit and painting $300.00 I took the fairing unit off before trading it in and still have it. Will sell. Bob H.

Perfect balance with just enough chrome to look good, but not be a pain to maintain and clean =) I got a '06 Stratoliner "S" and like it but I see that Yamaha DOESN'T LISTEN to its customers! Same crappy stock seat is still there, still(!) no highway passing lamps (which should come factory installed for that price!) and the entire fairing only has a radio in it?! You call this a DELUXE? GET SERIOUS! How about something besides just a radio with two lousy speakers? How about getting rid of that BUTT UGLY rear license plate bracket? Where is a small chin spoiler? THIS IS A "DELUXE"? HAHAHA...NOT! No front or back fender trim, no chrome rims, and the steering bar is STILL to far fwd and low for MOST users (all Stratoliner Forums bitch about this EVERYWHERE!). 1) AT THIS PRICE WE DEMAND stock chrome rims 2) WE WANT you to pull back the stock handlebars for better fit (1-2") 2) WE WANT A SIX (6) GALLON FUEL TANK so we can cruise the "imaginery 200 mile range" you spoke about when you introduced the bike 3) AT THIS PRICE WE DEMAND stock PASSING LAMPS 4) LONGER WARRANTY then a lousy 12 months!
