IN my previous comment I feel I might have been too harsh maybe the looks will grow on me , time will tell but from a practical point of view any small fall in the dirt is going to cost money Kawasaki is going to make money selling spare pannels but loose money not selling bikes I do not see many if any KLR650 Kawasaki bikes on our South African roads Plenty B M W , Yamaha 660 XT, Suzuki DR , Many of the old style KLR Kawasaki Regards Paul van Niekerk

Very good film work nice country side good angles etc now about the KLR 650 WHY SO MUCH plastic on a off road machine sure good for the highway but one spill in the dirt and it is going to cost you a lot of cash the older version was a sturdy solid work horse A friend of mine and me on a 600 Yamaha XT did many rides in LESOTHO up and down mountain passes in mud and shale and lots of nasty rocks falling off many times but not much got broken those KLR S could take a beating , but I think the new version looks like too much of a "PANSIE" some designer got carried away and added on bit and pieces just for the sake of it, it looks clumsey and over dressed WHY RE-ENVENT THE WHEEL ? THE DR Suzuki 650 is SUCCESSFULL BECAUSE THEY have STUCK to a winning formula .I like change good ones B M W has made some amazing changes some too radical but most very practical you can see that B M W has been listening to the people who do the riding and has done some very good work to gain far more of the market than ever before in the off road areas THE KLR 650 is a mighty machine dont make it look like a soft mushy mess not practical at all .REGARDS PAUL VAN NIEKERK email add vanniekerk.paul09@gmail.com
