'When I tried a qualifying tire, although the grip improved a bit, the bike got upset and it became very risky to push harder. We’ll look at the telemetry and try and work out how or why this happened and then see if we can make some adjustments,' said Ruben Xaus about his experience aboard the S1000RR at Portimao.
