Matt Merritt - one thing I think would improve the bike...  July 14, 2010 08:35 PM
I miss the meaty look of dual pipes. You remember the one on each side idea, or perhaps going with an under-tail version. Or go "the-Buell" way and drop the thing under the bike and outa the dang way of ready to be singed legs. I bet the heat would dissipate more evenly and moving the exhaust around might force them to address the "in the way", bag-in-mirror, issue you mentioned. I'm sure I'll get throttled for this interpretation of the mechanics of the bike but it must be said. I know that by today's standard, use credit for everything and think about it later philosophy, many think this bike is a good price. Back to reality for fiscally minded folks like myself. I'd rather go for the quick, nimble triumph with a $11,000-$12,000 price tag, a throaty growl and a long stretch. Better yet, wait for some chump to lay down six-teen grand for this bad boy and a year later pick it up for 10k in cash from said chump who just has to go further in debt to feel better. End of rant, my Triumph awaits.
