You know what, I'm not concerned about if its good looking or not. I'm just happy that a company is willing to do something Different, both looks and design wise. America in particular is getting boring, have you ever looked at a busy road and noticed that every single car looks exactly the same, dull colors, similar shapes, same dull boring people driving them. Motorcycle are one of the few things left where one can show there individualism and having a company make a concept that is far out there is just awesome!!!

Although as a technical exercise, this bike is a real tour-de-force, is there really a reason for its existence? At the risk of sounding like an old fogey (I am one!), what I think the Bayerische Motoren Werk should be focusing on is bringing the OHC twin that appeared in the motorcycle press a few years ago, to market. Say, one about 750 cc, and another at 1000 cc?

All this to the side, the design of the Six sucks! Is that a pun? In any case, it looks like something out an old Japanese TV show, "Ultraman." Whatever happened to aerodynamics? And those gorpy-looking mufflers; please spare us.
Eric - Why hide the motor?  December 11, 2009 04:38 PM
CBX motor is right out there for all to see. '79-80 were the best looking and then Honda hid the motor in '81-82 and the looks went downhill. So here's BMW with a fancy 6-cylinder engine and they hide the thing? Put it in the breeze, people, unwrap that thing!

You have to build this bike it is beautiful. You just can not put this machine out there and ties, it`s proportions from what i have seen are very nice and the design of the exhaust very nice, when you do put this in to production you must keep the exhaust design.Plus this will be your first conventional bike build, your flat fours are just beautiful too.Yours BA Wright.
ozza - six across tha frame  November 26, 2009 12:38 AM
good concept. i ve been waiting for bmw to stick new gen flat four in their grandtourer. now, there is no beating the flat six of honda's for stance and centre of gravity. but this here is better. it even has the brutish ugly look that only a bmw can carry well! if anyone an get away with that width its bmw. hey it even has a cylinders jutting out high up look of the r series, yes? no? i say build it and we will LOVES it.

Bottom part of it is good(engine, tyres, chaise, etc..) but not the upper setup(the body), from rear number plate to front number plate every thing should change I beleive, specially the area after the seat should change.
