James Stewart took his Monster Kawasaki to another moto sweep, his 11th of the season and is now a perfect 22-for-22 in the moto win category.
"It definitely wasn't smooth," Stewart said. "I've won a moto here before, but that was it. I've gotten this far (with the perfect season) so I want to win (next weekend). But it hasn't really hit me yet."
James Stewart has been absolutely unstoppable this season. He worked his way through the deep Southwick sand to score his 21st and 22nd moto wins.
The modest Stewart is now seventh on the all-time win list with 14 to his credit. Only two motos remain in his quest for a perfect season which will put him in the company of his predecessor, Ricky Carmichael.
Cody Cooper continues to impress on his Suzuki City ride with a career-best second overall. The RM-Z450 rider nailed a 7-2 performance on his way to the podium. Stewart's teammate, Tim Ferry, was third with a consistent 4-4. Red Bull Honda's Andrew Short was fourth and privateer-turned-factory, Sean Hamblin, was fifth on his Yamaha.
Marc De Reuver, visiting from the World GP series, scored third in the first moto but had problems and was credited with 34th in Moto 2 for 10th overall.

Ryan Villopoto was perfect again, despite having no reason to win. Both RV and Stewart have already claimed the title in their respective classes, but they continue to show their dominance.
Newly-crowned champion Ryan Villopoto enjoyed the low-pressure atmosphere to post a sweep on his Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki. His main competition for the season, Ryan Dungey, was second on his Rockstar Makita Suzuki.
"The track was rough," said Villopoto. "Being sand, you could go just about anywhere you want, but obviously there is going to be one fast line. The last two races I've made mistakes here and there. Coming in here, I wanted to win (the overall) because I've never done that."
RV's teammate, Brett Metcalfe, nearly took the second position with his 2-3, but Dungey edged him out with his 3-2. Kyle Chisholm sailed into fourth with a pair of fifth-place finishes and Jake Weimer took his Geico Powersports Honda through the deep sand to fifth overall.
