I have the '09 Repsol version pictured above. It really is a fantastic motorcycle. I've ridden a lot, and this one is absolutely amazing. It doesn't get ridden much since I mainly ride my R1200RT for everyday stuff. But when I do throw a leg over it, it blows me away. I'll be keeping it for many years.

I went from a yamaha r1 to a 2008 honda cbr1000rr. I'm very happy with the bike except for the amounts of oil it seems to be burning. Im told that its way under specs of the oil that its burning but I didnt have that problem with my R1. But it handles so much better.

Personally, I'm a Ninja fan myself. But, I bought the new CBR 1000RR because it really does handle like a middle weight. Handling is precise with high corner speeds, very flickable. I bought the traditional red/black one.
