San Manuel Yamaha's Chad Reed picked up another victory, his eighth of the season, with a dominant showing at Texas Stadium in Irvine, TX. Reed started out second after the first lap and quickly moved into the lead on Lap 2. After that it was smooth sailing for the YZ450F pilot. He would cruise to the victory, but behind him was another blue bike adorned with the number 40 of factory rider Josh Hill. Hill followed his fellow Yamaha rider to the front but was unable to claim the front position.

Chad Reed gets through the nasty Turn 1 sand wash - San Diego
Chad Reed picked up his eighth win of the season and now holds a championship point lead that is worth more than a full race.
"I feel like I've given a lot of wins away this year so I just wanted to go out here and put in a good ride," said Reed. "I tried to get to the front as quick as possible and let those guys fight it out. This was a track that you had to stay on your toes and watch to not make mistakes."

Hill's second-place finish wasn't quite as easy as Reedy's victory. The young Yamaha rider was challenged by Red Bull Honda's Davi Millsaps. They would battle it out with Torco Racing Fuels Honda's Kevin Windham, who came up with another of his strong rides. Millsaps would finish out the podium roster as he improved from fifth on the opening lap. Windham started around eighth and improved to fourth while overtaking the likes of Monster Energy Kawasaki's Tim Ferry.

Supercross Lites
Josh Grant 20 and Ryan Villopoto 2 battled the entire main event - Minneapolis
Josh Grant (20) and Ryan Villopoto (2) did battle again, this time in Houston, TX. RV came out on top and continues to whittle away at the championship points.

Josh Grant started out the 250F main event with the lead on his Torco Racing Fuels Honda. The CRF rider enjoyed it while it lasted but was overtaken by Ryan Villopoto's Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki. RV took over on lap 3 and never looked back as he tries to establish some momentum in the title chase.

Grant would hold on for second, while KTM rider Martin Davalos claimed third. The orange pilot finished where he started, but it was an excellent result for the Ecuadorian transplant. Points leader Trey Canard had a terrible start after getting tangled up and rounded the first lap in 20th. His miraculous charge led him up to fourth place by the time the checkered flag fell.

"Josh and I had a good race going there for a while and I think he stalled his bike in the corner there and I got around him," said Villopoto. "(Trey) had a whole race lead on me (in the points coming into this race). I was hoping for that mistake. He didn't have a very good race tonight and that's what I need. I need some help to get back in this points race."

Honda Lites rider Trey Canard got a good start at Atlanta and rode it all the way to an impressive flag-to-flag victory.
Trey Canard did a fine job of salvaging his title hopes. The points leader had terrible luck at the start and had to begin the race from outside the Top 20. He charged all the way back to fourth, which may have saved his hopes for a rookie-season championship.
