Chad Reed moved to the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team in 2008 and promptly won the 2008 Supercross and 2009 Motocross Championship titles. He now joins the Monster Energy Kawasaki team for 2010.
Chad Reed probably has more frequent flyer miles than any other racer on the circuit. Speedy Reedy has recently joined with Mike Porra to develop a new national Supercross series in his native country of Australia called Super-X – Australasian Supercross Championship. Not only is he involved on the managerial and promotional levels, but he competes as well, which means the former World GP and three-time AMA Supercross and SX Lites champion has quite the travel schedule. Most riders complain about having to cross the U.S. during the season, but Reed crosses two continents and entire oceans!
Born in Newcastle, Reed picked up two Australian National titles before heading to Europe to race the GPs, from there it was onto the States to take on the AMA. He pulled off an East Coast SX Lites title in his first attempt and turned it into a Supercross championship in 2004. In 2008, it was another proving time for Reedy as he delivered another title for Yamaha with the L&M Racing squad. Since coming to America, Reed has never finished a full season outside the top-10, and only twice outside the top-5.
In 2009, Reed raced in two different disciplines in America with impressive results - a Motocross championship title and he took second overall in Supercross. He also is defending his title in the Australasian Supercross Championship which he started back home in Australia on his new Monster Energy Kawasaki ride.
Reed will continue to see green as he returns to the States and ride both AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross on the Kawasaki KX450F.

The coming season will be a challenge for Reed as he tries to race at the highest level in both America and Australia.
