Ricky Carmichael
Carmichael had earned the respect of fans and competitors across the world. He is the sport's greatest champion.
What can be said about Ricky Carmichael that hasn’t already been boasted about a thousand times. The Greatest of All Time has come a long way from the pudgy red-haired kid ripping around Florida on his Team Green ride. Following a year of part-time racing in 2007, where he won every outdoor overall he entered, RC finally called it quits on professional motorcycle racing and moved onto the stock car scene. In the time between his 1996 pro debut and his final victory at the 2007 Motocross of Nations at Budds Creek, Maryland, the GOAT racked up 150 combined Motocross and Supercross wins and 16 AMA championships.

As impressive as his record book achievements are, equally amazing was his ability to stay healthy. Carmichael missed the 2004 Supercross season to rehabilitate a knee, but otherwise contested every season to its end for 11 years. He had six double-championship years and posted two perfect outdoor seasons winning all 24 motos.

RC was faced with the daunting task of knocking the King of Supercross, Jeremy McGrath, off the top rung, which he accomplished in 2001. Carmichael, however, was never toppled from his throne taking on all challengers and emerging victorious. After announcing his retirement plans, RC stuck to his guns despite having a probable chance at winning yet another pair of titles in 2007.
