Keith Amor took the BMW S1000RR to an impressive victory in the North West 200 Superstock race. Providing the Bavarian marque with its first-ever NW 200 victory, the Scotsman claimed victory ahead of Ian Hutchinson and Ryan Farquhar.

Amor jumped out to the lead early, but in one of the more exciting races of the day, the lead exchanged hands with numerous slipstream passes on the long straights. One rider who did not last long in the main event was a favorite, and pole position starter, Connor Cummins, who high-sided out of the race while running second.

Where Armor used the power of the Beemer to launch ahead, Hutchinson repeatedly closed the gaps on the brakes. Farquhar was also fighting it out at the front, taking his turns in the lead aboard the Kawasaki. Another man fighting for podium position was Suzuki’s Alastair Seeley.

In the end Amor proved the faster rider, followed by Hutchinson and Farquhar. Impressively enough, yet another BMW achievement in the race was the fastest lap set by Michael Rutter at 119.588 mph.
