Ian Hutchinson continued his dominating road racing form taking a trio of wins at the 2010 Ulster Grand Prix. Yet Hutchy’s feat wasn’t the only headline, as Bruce Anstey turned a record-breaking lap en route to victory in the concluding Superbike race. Scottish rider Keith Amor also had a banner run at this year’s Ulster GP, taking a Supersport victory to go with five podium finishes. Long-time road racing vet Ian Lougher also managed a win, taking the checkers in the 250cc race.

Bruce Anstey claimed victory in the concluding Superbike race at the 2010 Ulster Grand Prix, where the Suzuki rider also set the fastest mph average in a current road racing circuit - making a 133.977 mph lap on the Dundrod circuit.
Superbike
In the first Superbike race Hutchinson (winner of an unprecedented five TTs at this year's
Isle of Man TT) claimed the win aboard his Padgett Honda, besting Suzuki’s Anstey by a slim 0.106 at the line. Amor, who campaigned the
BMW S1000RR in Superbike and Superstock, took third, followed by Crag Wilson Honda’s Guy Martin and Honda rider Michael Dunlop. Amor had the honor of turning the fastest lap in the six-lap race at 133.209 mph.
In the second
Superbike content, Anstey asserted his dominance and claimed not only the victory but the title of world’s fastest road racer setting a new lap record at 133.977 mph. Hutchinson had to settle for second, but just barely, finishing 0.072 back of the winner. Amor once again took third, himself only 0.335 behind Anstey. Cameron Donald, Anstey’s Relentless Suzuki teammate, took fourth in Race 2, with Martin fifth and Michael Dunlop sixth.
Said Anstey after the race: “I said before today that our bikes were very competitive and while I missed out in the cat-and-mouse game for victory in the opening Superbike race, I wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. Granted, there wasn't much in it between the top four or five guys today, but ultimately we proved that the GSX-R1000 in Relentless Suzuki trim is not only the best, but the fastest road racing Superbike on the planet. A big thank you to all the boys in the team today for a big effort - they work hard all year and it's nice to give them something to boast about at the end of a tough season."
Supersport
Hutchinson and Amor split the Ulster GP Supersport races, with the Englishman taking the victory in Race 1 and the Scottish rider scoring the checkers in Race 2. The two men each placed runner-up in the race they did not win. Michael Dunlop took the final rostrum position in Race 1, while brother William just beat his younger sibling out of the third-place result in the second race. Martin also managed a pair of Supersport top-five finishes with a 4-5 byline.
250CC
Lougher snatched his 15th career Ulster Grand Prix victory with a win in the 250 race (to go along with 10 IOM TT and eight NW200 wins). The Welsh rider took the win ahead of Northern Ireland’s William Dunlop and Dunlop’s cousin Paul Robinson (winner of the NW200 125 race). Daley Mathison and Davey Morgan rounded out the top five, all five riders campaigning on Honda machinery.
