Is madness a hereditary gene? Sometimes I wonder. I know my father has always been a motor head and a speed junkie, thus it is no surprise my search for adrenaline seems endless. It has led me to this point in my career, that’s for sure.
It makes me wonder what Robbie Maddison’s father and mother are like.

If I were to have a child tomorrow I think I would name him or her either: Speed, Horsepower, or Adrenaline. While I’m sure my significant other may not agree, I have really taken a liking to those words. They seem to follow me where ever I go. Like this morning coming to work for example. I hopped in my BMW sports cars and jumped on the freeway, expecting a leisurely drive to the office.

Take a look around these days today and it’s pretty easy to get depressed. Economic times haven’t been this bad in most of our lifetimes, and they don’t look to be getting much better any time soon. Even in our small niche of a world here on two wheels, we have seen signs of the times. Just take a look at Honda pulling out of AMA Superbike (and Formula 1), not to mention I wouldn’t be surprised if Kawasaki and Suzuki followed suit.
