There’s isn’t a lot these days, at least motorcycle wise that gets me nervous. Doing this job for the last seven years has prepared me for most situations. And while I wasn’t too nervous, hopping on the National Guard Jordan Suzuki American Superbike at New Jersey Motorsports Park these past couple days got my blood going as much as anything in recent years. You see, not only was it an all-new-to-me, nearly-200 horsepower Superbike, but I was learning the track for the first time as well. Oh, and did I mention it was at an AMA-only team test amidst all the top U.S. riders? No pressure, right?

Luckily, the Jordan Suzuki guys were great and gave me plenty of time on the bike to get up to speed and see what the American Superbike Suzuki GSX-R1000 was all about. So, what was it like? Well … you’re going to have to wait until the next issue of MotoUSA Magazine for that feature. Stay tuned!
