I Need Therapy

Therapy is in session!
I’ve just found a new therapist. His name is Speed. Actually I've known him for quite awhile but sometimes I forget. And while by no means do I suggest you indulge on public roads, there really is nothing like a healthy dose of throttle to clear a true petrolhead’s brain.
From time to time I lose touch, but I’ve once again come to realize the value of said philosophy as I sit here, cooped up in my office hammering away on next month’s magazine stories. While no doubt I enjoy letting the creative side of my brain express itself to you, the reader, the longer I sit here in front of my computer the more restless I get. For a second there I couldn’t figure out why, but considering the last few weeks were filled with a very relaxing round of 250 Ninja racing and a sublime dose of Superbike testing (stay tuned for both stories), there’s no doubt that this last week in the office is where the restlessness is coming from.
Funny how sitting behind a computer screen and typing away can cause more anxiety and uneasiness than blasting around the racetrack at 150mph. I guess people are just wired for certain things, mine being best suited for bouts of wide open throttle. Thankfully, we have a big track-based tire shootout coming up followed by a few days at the KTM Skip Barber school at Laguna Seca to set my mind right again.
I can only take sitting behind this desk for so long…
