Possible New Minnesota Motorsports Complex

The International Motorsports Entertainment and Development Corp. has plans to bring a $500 million motorsports complex to Minnesota. Will it happen?
Reports are floating around that a $500M motorsports complex could possibly be erected in Minneapolis, Minnesota, featuring everything from a 1-mile “Indy-style” oval to a 2.5-mile road course and NHRA-spec quarter-mile drag strip, as well as restaurants and vendor areas.
According to a report in the
Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, The International Motorsports Entertainment and Development Corp. has plans to bring a $500 million motorsports complex to Minnesota and has recently pegged a 585-acre site in Arden Hills for the project.
The reports states that NorthMarq Real Estate Services is acting as the group’s broker, while M.A. Mortenson Co. has been tapped to be the general contractor on the project, and Baskervill will be the track-designing architect.
