World Superbike Title Showdown

Ben Spies took the Race 2 win pulling away from Haga in the final laps - Phillip Island
It's Ben Spies (19) against Noriyuki Haga (41) for the title in Portugal!
Ladies and gentleman, this is it! Two races in Portugal to decide the World Superbike title, with a mere 10 points separating leader Noriyuki Haga and American Ben Spies; whoever wins both races will come out the champion. It doesn't get any better than this! And I must admit, I’m pulling for Spies.

Despite my flair for Nitro Nori and his loads of sliding style, how do you root against the rookie superstar from your home country? Go Ben and the Red, White and Blue! Just as I was there in Valencia to see Nicky Hayden come from behind to win his MotoGP world championship in 2006, hopefully I can witness the same by ‘the new kid’ from Texas.

Either way, MotoUSA will be live from Portugal to bring you all the action!

No matter who gets the championship I'll be happy, but as a Ducati rider I'm pulling for Nori. He's worked a lot harder/longer than Ben for the honor.

USA!!! USA!!! USA!!! Lets finish off this championship. This should be a good showdown. Nori wants his first championship and Spies wants the title as a rookie. Spies has knowledge of the track this time, and Nori is a wiely ole veteran.

Crunch time!!!! Love SBK racing. It's better and more competitive than MotoGP were only 2 or 3 people have a shot to win. SBK has a good 5 to 6 that compete for the win every week...

Spies would have this in the back if not for mechecnical errors by the team and crash outs. All the poll starts and wins should count for something....
