Ponder this scenario for a second – let’s call it the World Superbike Smackdown: All seven factory World Superbikes ridden back-to-back by the same person and compared as such. Pipe dream, right? Not anymore. I just returned from doing exactly that in Portimao, Portugal, and just such a story will be in the next issue of MotoUSA Magazine! Doesn’t get any bigger than this, people…

And the icing on the cake? We rode the top two dominating machines in this year’s World Supersport Championship – Cal Crutchlow’s factory Yamaha R6 and Eugene Laverty’s factory-supported Honda CBR600RR – in a similar fashion and will be bringing you a shootout of these two on the website in the coming weeks. Say hello to the World Supersport Shootout!
