The crew at
Baja Bound is trying something new this time around with a slew of relatively unknown and gnarly trails for riders to experience July 9-12 on the 2009 Baja Beach Bash. Tim Morton hooked up with Desert Assassins’ Cameron Steele and
JCR Honda's Johnny Campbell, two of Baja’s most well-known characters, and decided to expand their typical south-of-the-border tours and provide a more unique experience of Baja, California. The tour features less coddling by the guides and more affordability.
Not only are the organizers trying to spread the word about the “real” Baja, but they also want to support the people of the community and also the racers who enjoy it. The Rancho Santa Marta orphanage will receive a portion of the money raised as wells as Luis Garcia who was injured in a head-on crash during the
2009 Baja 500. Garcia has reportedly endured seven surgeries and, of course, anything helps for our injured brethren.

2009 Baja Beach Bash video for a preview of what participants can expect. We’ve got our resident SoCal desert expert,
Chilly White, on the list. Watch for a report on the event once everyone gets back across the border.
