Mick Doohan’s Motocoaster

Tuesday, January 05, 2010
Check out the latest in rollercoaster design. It's called the Motocoaster and it's at the Australian theme park Dreamworld. Judging by the video one sits in the hunched-over sportbike position and is then held in by a restraint over one’s back. The bikes appear to be based off the previous generation Honda CBR1000RR looks-wise, which comes as no surprise as Doohan is a lifetime Honda man and judging by the logos on some of the coasters the Japanese marque is also a sponsor of the ride. As is Alpinestars and Autographed Collectibles it appears. So check out the videos and if you are ever Down Under make sure to give it a try and let us know how it is.

BTW: If you ask me, I say they need to build a Nitro Circus version in America. Now that would be a ride!

COOL.............it can give the general public a taste of why so many riders like to ride on hilly, curvy roads on their motorcycles.

May be a good way to communicate with the general public on something they would never do/try on their own.

I'd sure like to feel this ride's sensations.
