KTM has decided to send an official service truck to the coming Dakar Rally in order to continue to provide service for privateer KTM riders, but the decision to withdraw the KTM Factory Team remains final.

Another day of the 2009 Dakar and another stage in the books as Cyril Despres takes his fifth stage win of the rally with Marc Coma right on his tail, followed by David Frétigné to round out the top three of Stage 13.

Stage 12 has been completed as scheduled, minor course adjustment but an over all "normal" stage for the Dakar, with Despres and Coma taking the top two spots as they work closer to the finish line.

As mentioned in the Stage 10 results, Stage 11 was canceled due to Heavy Fog. This cancellation will make it difficult for riders, leaving only three stages to battle for top spots.
