One of the easiest ways to tell that summer is quickly approaching is when the Lima Half-Mile is next up on the AMA Pro Flat Track presented by J&P Cycles schedule. In recent years, the Allen County Fairgrounds and its uniquely designed pea gravel dirt track has played host to the legendary Lima Half-Mile in late June and always puts on an impressive display of some of the most competitive dirt track racing in the world.
On June 9th, 2013, AMA Pro Flat Track presented by J&P Cycles competitors will roll out their twin-cylinder motorcycles used on mile and half-mile courses to test and tune their machines at the Lima Half-Mile from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
AMA Pro Flat Track racers will get a chance to dial in their bikes this weekend at the Lima Half-Mile in advance of the race scheduled for later in the month on June 29th.
The test and tune will be open to the press and public, allowing for a close-up preview of the Lima Half-Mile oval and the stars that will be competing on it.
The series is set to return to the Allen County Fairgrounds just 20 days later on June 29th for Round 4 of action and will undoubtedly bring the immense excitement it has in years past to The Buckeye State racing community.
