AMA Pro Racing announced today the 2010 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship schedule that features an increased number of races plus new and former events back on the schedule.

Once again the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship will consist of three series; Expert Singles, Expert Twins and the highly successful Pro Singles.

The season will open during Daytona Bike Week at the new DAYTONA® Flat Track with a TT on Wednesday, March 3rd. Thursday, March 4th will see the first Expert Singles and Pro Singles National on the Short Track configuration.

Next on the schedule will be the first Expert Twins National at a new venue with a Mile at Yavapai Downs in Prescott Valley, AZ, located just north of Phoenix. This will be the first motorcycle race at Yavapai Downs and the only track in the western part of the country to feature Mile Nationals. The series will return to Yavapai Downs in October with back-to-back Nationals.

Inaugural events will be held at Gas City I-69 Speedway in Gas City, IN; The Red Mile in Lexington, KY; Calistoga Speedway in Calistoga, CA; Canterbury Park in Minneapolis, MN and after a long hiatus, the return of I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, MI.

Annual events will continue at the Springfield Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL; Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, OH; Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD; Beulah Park in Grove City, OH; Peoria Race Park in Peoria, IL and the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN.

"The expansion of the series is exciting news for our fans, riders and sponsors," said Mike Kidd, Director of AMA Pro Flat Track. "We continue to work hard to showcase one of the most exciting forms of motorcycle racing in various parts of the country. Our goal is to continue to work with our existing promoters while going out to find aggressive promoters near key markets that will benefit the series."

AMA Pro Racing will continue to look for additional events to help complete a travel pattern as the series moves across the country.

Must be hard to make a dollar in ticket sales if you have to hold races at places like Yavapai...(no offence to Arizona).

My Dad raced flat track for the AMA in the 1950's, one of his races was in Calistoga, CA....I believe it was in the early 1950's...he raced with Kenny Yeggers, Joe Leanord, and Dick Man (Buggy's)...our father passed in 2004, it would be an honor to attend this race, and I plan on doing so. I look forward to July 31st.

How many years has it been since a race has been raced in the AMA Flat Track Race In Calistoga?

I see after all the verbal promises made at the event last year in Pomona it didn't work out for 2010. Hard to believe that Prescott, AZ makes a better venue than the Southland with the largest motorcycling population in the country. What gives AMA?

Everyone here in the Willamette Valley in Oregon is very appreciative that you are coming back to pacific northwest. I would love to help advertise for the races. That is how excited everyone is.
Please dont stop Caste Rock, alot of your fans were really sick when you backed out of coming a few years back.
They will think your trying hard when they see your coming back.
Wish somewhere we could find out where to buy the tickets.
Thanks again
