Yes, I 100% agree the blue is eye popping, but why not be a little different? I'm okay with that and while the silver does not make as much sense on the first year edition because you'll want to keep it stock, a little satin black on some key body panels on any subsequent years will give you that aggressive one-off look in a relatively easy manner. Besides, the target market is to entice some BMW owners to jump brands and they love silver... :-)
