2010 EnduroCross Las Vegas Finale Results

Monday, November 22, 2010
Despite going off the track early in the main Taddy Blazusiak was able to make steady progress through the field and eventually took the win over Christini KTMs Geoff Aaron.
After advancing into the main in Las Vegas Taddy Blazusiak sealed the 2010 championship ahead of Geoff Aaron.
Red Bull/KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak officially closed out the 2010 GEICO EnduroCross Championship on top after winning the final race of the season in Las Vegas. Taking home his fifth win of the ’10 season, Blazusiak also nailed down his second EnduroCross Championship.

The KTM rider dominated early in the evening after setting lap times which were more than two seconds faster than the rest of the field. As a result Blazusiak had the top gate pick heading into the first heat race. All Blazusiak needed to do was qualify for the main and the championship was his. Instead, he did one better by claiming the win in his heat race, and went on to wear the Number 1 plate on his back for the main.

During the start KTM’s Geoff Aaron made some aggressive moves and pushed Blazusiak wide while snagging the holeshot. It was to be the highlight of Aaron’s night, however, as Blazusiak quickly fought back to take the lead in the opening lap. Despite the two KTM riders staying close together for the majority of the contest, Aaron dropped off the pace of Blazusiak near the end.

Meanwhile, Cody Webb was running third when
Geoff Aaron set the fastest time in his Pioneer Hot Lap and finished second behind Taddy Blazusiak in the main.
Geoff Aaron nailed the holeshot in the main but couldn't hold onto the lead and eventually finished second.
Kawasaki’s Colton Haaker swept passed him for the final podium spot. Shortly afterward, however, Haaker had a scary crash and in the end he finished fifth. Also battling briefly for the podium were Justin Soule and Mike Brown. Both couldn’t keep the pace of the frontrunners though, and they finished fourth and sixth, respectively. Rounding out the top-10 finishers in the final race of the year were Kawasaki’s Justin Soule, Kyle Redmond, Jamie Lanza and KTM’s Kevin Rookstool.

After claiming the victory Blazusiak made a few victory laps in front of the Las Vegas crowd. After popping a few wheelies he got off his bike, bent down and gave a kiss to the crowd.

"I am very excited about this championship,” said Blazusiak. “It means a lot to me to take home this title. I can't thank my Red Bull/KTM Team enough for all of their support."
