Babbitt’s Monster
Kawasaki ace Tyler Bowers proved last week’s success in Grand Rapids was not a fluke when the Kentucky native swept the Baltimore round. The
Arenacross Lites class saw Jim Neese taking the honors on Friday with Tyler Bright the victor on Saturday.

Tyler Bowers was still on top in the overall standings after sweeping both races in the 2010 AMA Arenacross round at Baltimore.
Friday
As the flag dropped on Friday night’s race, it was Spinechillers/Storm Lake’s Nathan Skaggs in the lead. Behind the Honda rider was Babbitt’s Monster Kawasaki’s Josh Demuth, fellow
Honda pilot Brock Sellards, and
KTM’s Kelly Smith. Demuth’s teammate and winner of the Grand Rapids round, Bowers, started down in the pack but quickly recovered to take the win ahead of Skaggs and Demuth.
Yamaha’s Neese fought a fierce battle against teammate Bright for first in the Lites class. The North Carolina resident was the first to reach the line leaving Bright with second and Kawasaki’s Devon Pilkington in third.

Saturday
Saturday’s main was almost a repeat of Friday with Bowers taking the honors ahead of Skaggs. However, Chad Johnson charged forward on his Kawasaki to nab the final podium position away from Demuth.
Bright had his revenge in the Lites division where the North Carolinian took an early lead and rode it all the way to end. Fellow Kawasaki pilot A.J. Catanzaro grabbed his second best career finish in second. The rookie beat out Friday night’s main event winner, Neese, who finished in third-place despite a minor crash.
"This weekend the team continued to produce strong results in the Lites class with our four podiums. I felt very strong in the AX class, strong enough to run top three. It was unfortunate that things did not work out better in the AX class. Tyler and I will go back and work on ways to improve our results by next week when the Series moves to Hampton, Virginia," commented Jim Neese, team owner.
The next round in the Arenacross series will take place January 22nd and 23rd in the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia.
