2010 Hampton Arenacross Results

Tyler Bowers continued his reign over the AMA Arenacross series with another dominating performance on both nights at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia. The Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki rider has further extended his lead in the overall standings over teammate Chad Johnson to 24 points.

Friday
Tyler Bowers has set the bar high. The Babbitts Kawasaki rider has won the past two rounds of the 2010 Arenacross Series.

Tuf Honda’s Brock Sellards took an early lead in Friday’s main. On Lap 4 of the 25-lap race, Bowers moved past Sellards and took the checkers. Bower’s teammate, Johnson, nabbed the final podium position ahead of Honda-mounted Jeff Gibson and Suzuki’s Robbie Reynard.

Lites
Honda pilot Taylor Futrell grabbed the holeshot and the win in the Lites main event. Chad Wages finished in second on his Petroleum Site Works Suzuki ahead of Foremost Insurance Yamaha’s Tyler Bright.

Saturday 
The fast-starting Sellards grabbed the holeshot in Saturday’s 25-lap main event, but a determined Bowers took the lead. Once out front the Kawasaki ace never looked back, marking his third consecutive sweep of both nights in the series so far. Bower's teammates, Johnson and Josh Demuth, took second and third, respectively. Holeshot winner Sellards followed in fourth with Yamaha’s Kevin Johnson taking fifth.

Lites
Kawasaki’s Cory Green was the first to cross the finish line in the Lites main on Saturday. Jim Neese followed shortly behind on his Yamaha with GPF/Babbit’s Kawasaki’s A.J. Catanzaro in third.

The next round in the AMA Arenacross series begins on January 30th in the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri.
