Mike Brown - 2009 WORCS Team KTM
Mike Brown took the overall GPMX win during the second racing session of the AMA/WORCS Championship Week at the Straddleline ORV Park in McCleary, WA.
The AMA/WORCS Championship Week, part 2 (GPMX) took place Wednesday at Straddleline ORV park. KTM’s Mike Brown captured the win, scoring a 1st in moto 1 and a 2nd in moto 2. That was good enough to best Answer Racing’s/Oakley’s Kyle Regeal who posted a 4-1 for second overall. Regeal was riding a Yamaha today provided by Valli Motorsports on the one off support in this GPMX. Third place went to California’s Chris Johnson.

This marks part two of the 4 part event AMA/WORCS Championship Week. Best average overall scores in all 4 disciplines will take home the AMA #1 plate on Sunday. Finishing 4th on Wednesday was Factory Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott who took a 2nd in Sunday’s Western Hare Scramble (part 1 of the event) and looks to be in good standings for the overall lead, just ahead of KTM's Mike Brown.

Next up on the Championship Week is WORCS X-cross (an Endurocross style event) which will be held Friday night under the lights at Straddleline ORV park. Abbott who runs really well in Endurocross events looks to be a favorite in this Championship so far. Don’t count out Mike Brown who has a couple of past AMA #1 plates himself.
