The International Six Days Enduro, the oldest offroad competition on the FIM motorsports calendar breaks new ground this year when it travels to San Juan in Argentina from November 3-8, 2014. As always, KTM will be there as the event’s exclusive partner both ready to race and with its comprehensive KTM Services to both professional and passionate amateur riders.
The 2014 edition signals the ISDE’s return to South America for the first time since Mexico hosted the classic in 2010. It offers six days of superb competition and camaraderie over fantastic terrain in and around San Juan, some 1,100 away from Buenos Aires and at the foot of the legendary Andes Mountains.
The ISDE offers thrills and excitement and the best of Enduro racing in a format that not only pits nation against nation but also provides the opportunity for Enduro enthusiasts from all over the world to compete under the same conditions and alongside their racing heroes. In 2014 it will be the French national teams that the other nations will have in their sights after they have dominated the coveted World and Junior Trophies for the past two editions.
The French squad will again draw on the services of KTM factory riders and multi world champions Christophe Nambotin and Antoine Meo, but their factory teammates like Ivan Cervantes and Cristobal Guerrero of Spain and Matt Phillips of Australia will also be racing in their national colors at this unique event. With Argentina as the host and the ISDE promising to deliver both spectacular competition and challenging terrain, it will also attract many top riders from throughout South America.
Organizers report that some 500 riders from 40 countries have already registered for the 2014 edition and KTM is again the major partner for the ISDE. The Austrian sports motorcycle manufacturer will be in Argentina to offer its exclusive KTM Services that provides a comprehensive package including: KTM rental machines, Race Service and Spare Parts Service and much more.
