I purchased a 2000 model TTR-250, Fantastic bike, good service from 5 Star Yamaha (Hamilton Hill Perth WA) I put 900 odd k's on it b4 circumstances forced me to sell it, It performed faultlessly. The only thing I was't impressed with was the lack of low end torque, It made wheelstands difficult. On one occasion I rocked up to a mates place on it and his first comment to me was " I thought you where on a scooter", I asked why was that? His response was "Cos it sounded like a scooter! " mmm that after market exhaust would have made the difference (H.Pwr Wise) and probably helped the tin lid drivers more aware of the fact that a vulnerable bike was within there proximity. But yeah for my first Yamaha I was impressed and am currently contemplating a new WR250. Neways I live 2 ride and would love to hear from any one that has any thoughts/advice etc etc on my comments. Drop me a line at danes-123@hotmail.com. Ride safe and look after yourselfs and each other!
