FMF/KTM’s Kurt Caselli grabbed his third consecutive AMA National Hare & Hound Series win, taking Round 5 by over four minutes ahead of his teammate, Ivan Ramirez. Beta rider Nicholas Burson rounds out the podium.
Caselli got to the front early, challenged closely by Ramirez, and the two proceeded to build a gap on the field during the first loop. Ramirez lost ground on the second go-round, falling to over two minutes behind Caselli, an advantage Caselli extended on the third and final loop.
“I was able to get out front early today so I never had to deal with the dust,” said Caselli. “I am happy to continue my win streak here and I am looking forward to the sixth round next weekend in Utah. I hope that my teammate, Ivan, can also join me on the podium there.”
KTM rider Irving Powers of the A Open class came in fourth-fastest, while Morgan Crawford of the A Vet class scored fifth. Kawasaki’s Jacob Argubright, the fourth and final Pro class rider in the round, scored sixth.
Caselli now sits 15 points ahead of Argubright in the lead while Burson is third, an additional three points back.
