Not just anyone can get a Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki race bike, but when you're the reigning X Games Moto X Super X champion it helps your chances considerably. Josh Hansen showed up on a Mitch Payton masterpiece and rode it to the checkered flag for another dose of X Games heavy metal.

Kevin Windham was out front early with an impressive launch off the gate, but like his Geico Powersports Honda teammate Jessica Patterson in the Women's Super X, the wily veteran wasn't able to hold off the pack. Hansen would try for a block pass that could have been ugly for Windham, but the #100 rider let off before giving K-Dub the punt. Hansen seemed to be in no hurry because he made it stick soon after and went on to win by over eight seconds to claim his second-consecutive gold medal.

Justin Brayton managed to get by Windham as well on his Shock Doctor KTM after a crappy start which earned him a well-deserved silver medal. Windham held on for a podium spot while Matt Boni and Nick Wey finished inside the top-five.

Geoff J - Proper Medical Support?!?  August 3, 2009 12:54 PM
Did anyone else notice how it took forever for Josh Grant and other down riders to get proper medical to get to them. I was not happy at all to see down riders just sat there for minutes without having proper medical attention. It seemed like they did not get the attention that they would have got if they were at am AMA SX or MX event. Very Dangerous Also riders still passing and jumping right next to an unattended down rider while under yellow.

Did McGrath go down? Scrubs finished ahead of him.
