Blake Williams (left) was robbed in Best Trick, but he finally scored gold with his performance in Moto X Freestyle.
Blake Williams became the first international rider to win FMX Freestyle at X Games when the Australian rider narrowly squeezed into the top position on his final run. It was a hard-fought battle for Bilko with Jeremy Twitch Stenberg turning in some impressive runs as he tried to claim gold for his fallen Metal Mulisha teammate, Jeremy Lusk. The duo wasn't alone with former champ Nate Adams looking for another shiny payday and Mat Rebeaud qualified for the final as well.

The riders were scored on a combination of two runs and Williams came into his last opportunity needing a 43 to win – and that's exactly what he got. The 4-stroke rider had to sit and wait for Adams to finish his final run but the Yamaha rider made a critical mistake. With a very solid run underway, Adams dropped the ball when he was unable to pull a trick and that derailed him for the rest of the outing. He would have to settle for bronze with Twitch enjoying silver.

Blake did get robbed. Even the sissy himself, Kyle Loza, said he thought Blake was going to win. Overall, this year's X Games FMX was a bore fest.
