Proceeds from the X-Treme Indoor Enduro
will go to local racer, Matt Jensen (above).
EnduroCross fans in Southern Oregon will get a taste of the brutal sport in their own backyard with the X-Treme Indoor Enduro held on March 10. The race will take place inside the Compton Arena at the Jackson County Fairgrounds with classes for amateurs, experts and a $5000 pro purse on the line that pays out to fifth place. OMA-KTM is promoting the event as a benefit for local racer Matt Jensen; proceeds will go to the family.

Several extreme enduro riders and EnduroCross elite are expected to throw their hat in the ring. Kyle Redmond, Cory Graffunder and Rory Sullivan will have to take on local aces Kevin Rookstool and OMA-KTM/MotoUSA test rider Randy Pekarek. The night program starts at 7 p.m. and will feature all the pro qualifiers and main event, as well as the amateur and expert main events which are settled throughout the daytime racing. Spectators get in for only $15 and race entries are $50 per class. OMA-KTM is also putting up a KTM 450 SX ATV for raffle.

About Matt Jensen: Matt was born with a rare form of tuberous sclerosis. The 22-year-old hasn’t let a facial angiofibroma - a large growth which covers the right half of his face – slow him down. He races his OMA-KTM 250 XC in the AA class of OMRA off-road series and works at Steahly Off-Road. He’s also an active participant and volunteer in the local Motorcycle Riders Association. He is scheduled for multiple surgeries in 2012.

Visit www.xtremeindoorenduro.com for more information, including the race schedule and entry form. Each class is limited to 40 riders (20 for TrialCross) so preregistration is the way to go. Questions can be answered at OMA-KTM by calling Jeff Moffet at 541-773-7433.
