For the second year in a row, Metzeler Tire pilots swept the overall standings of the three-round FIM Indoor Enduro World Cup thanks to the efforts of KTM factory rider Ivan Cervantes & Taddy Blazusiak, along with Honda rider Fabio Mossini. Using the 6 Days Extreme tire, the dual-sweep feat is a true testament to the versatility and endurance of Metzeler’s top tire.
In addition to the championship performance, Metzeler-backed riders also grabbed the top two positions in the final round of the FIM Indoor Enduro World Cup from Madrid, Spain.
The 6 Days Extreme tire is a winning product which lives for the Enduro environment, providing maximum traction, lateral support and trajectory stability for this unique style of racing. Many consider Enduro to present the most tumultuous terrains, further showcasing the ability of the 6 Days Extreme. The tire boasts a high performance compound which reinforces the knobs at high temperature and carcass materials which maximize the resistance against cuts and tears. This environmentally friendly, fully FIM compliant tire has been chosen by leading manufacturers BMW and KTM as the ideal solution for new off-road models, strengthening Metzeler’s off-road presence while highlighting the reliability and high quality of the German manufacturer.
In just its second year, the FIM Indoor Enduro World Cup attracts the world’s best Enduro specialists. At the opening round, Cervantes began his title chase in front of 10,000 die hard Spaniards in Barcelona. The Spanish KTM rider followed with another victory at the second round in Genoa, Italy before completing his own season sweep this past weekend in Madrid.
Metzeler is a subsidiary company of Pirelli Tire. Based in Munich, Germany, the company specializes in premier motorcycle tires, including some of the world’s best off-road tires.
