Dubach Racing Development (DRD) wants to congratulate Team Yamaha Blackfoot Racing for sweeping the MX1 podium at the opening round of the 2009 Monster Energy Canadian Motocross National Series in Kamloops, BC. Colton Facciotti proved the #1 plate is on his Yamaha YZF 450 for a reason and is not planning on giving it up by winning both moto’s in the MX1 class. Facciotti’s Dubach Racing backed Blackfoot Yamaha teammate Dusty Klatt had a good weekend with a second overall and showing that he will be a threat for the championship as well.
Facciotti holeshot the first moto and immediately started to pull away from the field opening up a 15-second lead and cruising to the finish line with Dusty Klatt working his way through the pack for 2nd place. The second moto didn’t come as easy for Facciotti and he was forced to battle his way through the pack before he found the #1 spot by the halfway point of the moto. “I am really stoked with the way things worked out today, my DRD exhaust pulled me a huge holeshot in the first moto and my YZ450F got me the first win of the season” says Facciotti. Klatt rode inside the top 3 the entire race eventually coming across the line in 3rd giving him second overall. “My bike was definitely working great and I ended up with second overall, so it was a good start to my season,” explains Klatt.
