British rider Chaz Davies has been signed by ParkinGO
Triumph BE1 Racing for the remainder of the World Supersport season. Davies had just finished competing in America’s Daytona SportBike series for the factory Aprilia team onboard the RSV1000R, where he finished ninth in the standings. He will race in the final three World Supersport races at Imola, Mangny-Cours, and Portimao on a Triumph Daytona 675.

Chaz Davies has proven that he can be a fierce competitor, winning the prestigious Daytona 200 for Kawasaki in 2008. Now the British rider will display his skills on the world stage riding for the ParkinGO Triumph BE1 Racing Team.
Davies, best known for winning the Daytona 200 on a
Kawasaki in 2008, has also served as a substitute in MotoGP, competing in four rounds for the Pramac Ducati team in 2007. Davies will take the place of Gianluca Nannelli on the ParkinGO team, pairing up with Garry McCoy.
Davies took to the track at Mugello for his first laps on the BE1 Daytona 675. The next World Supersport round at Imola is ten days away, so the team has a short window of opportunity to match the rider’s style with the demands of the motorcycle.
"I would like to thank Giuliano (Rovelli) and the team for this opportunity," declared Davies. "This is my first chance to ride in the WSS Championship and I am excited to experience it and give it my best shot. I've watched ParkinGO Triumph BE1 Racing Team's results progress and I think that between the team and myself we can aim for strong results on the three-cylinder Triumph.”
ParkinGO team manager, Giuliano Rovelli, said, "Last year we came really close to signing a deal with Chaz. Today I am proud to have a British rider of his stature in the seat of the Triumph Daytona 675. Despite his youth he is a very experienced rider and I feel certain that he will fully express the potential of our bike, an equal match for Garry McCoy.”
