"I enjoy riding the 450 SX-F and would like to see where I stand in that class,”
- Ryan Sipes
Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM Factory Racing Team rider Ryan Sipes will race the Supercross class at the fourth round of the AMA Supercross Series in Houston, TX.
Sipes, who is currently competing in the West Supercross Lites Championship, is excited to race the KTM 450 SX-F this weekend in Houston. “I feel that it is necessary to continue to race during the gaps in the West Lites series, plus I enjoy riding the 450 SX-F and would like to see where I stand in that class,” commented Sipes.
Director of Racing for KTM, Kurt Nicoll, noted, “We believe that it benefits Ryan to race in this class, it is a good experience for him and it provides him with more track time. Throughout the remainder of the season both Ryan and Justin (Brayton) will race select Supercross events on the 450 SX-F.”
Preston Out for Houston Supercross
Jagermeister/MDK/KTM rider Travis Preston sustained an injury to his hand during his heat race at Anaheim II and will not race the Houston Supercross this weekend.
The doctor has estimated an approximate 2-3 week recovery period before Preston can return to the Supercross Series.
