
James Stewart is all smiles after his third consecutive win which bumped him into second overall.
Round 4 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series thrilled fans in Houston, Texas with James Stewart winning his third straight 450 class main event. It was similar to last weekend’s race at Anaheim with Stewart out early on his San Manuel Yamaha with Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Chad Reed back in the pack. By the three-quarter mark, Reed was into second place but 10 seconds behind JS. He wouldn’t close the gap but claimed second and remains in first place overall. JS moved into second in the standings and is tied with Josh Grant with 77 points each. Grant was fifth tonight.
Ryan Villopoto scored his first podium of the season on his Monster Kawasaki and is fifth overall. Red Bull Honda’s Andrew Short rode into fourth on the night.

Eastern Supercross Lites
Tonight was the opening round of Eastern Supercross Lites and French import Christophe Pourcel claimed the victory on his Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki. Brett Metcalfe followed to the checkers on his GEICO Powersports Honda and Nico Izzi was third for Rockstar Makita Suzuki.
Rookie Blake Wharton was fifth on his Honda, just behind KX250F pilot Austin Stroupe.
