Supercross Lead Pack - San Francisco
James Stewart (7) led from start to finish in San Francisco and is only six points behind Chad Reed after five rounds.
James Stewart collected his fourth consecutive win with another dominant victory in San Francisco tonight at Round 5 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series. The San Manuel Yamaha rider again ousted Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Chad Reed and forced the RM-Z450 rider into second place once again. Stewart chipped another three points off of Reed’s rapidly dwindling championship lead. Ryan Villopoto is getting accustomed to the 450 pace and landed on the podium again for Monster Energy Kawasaki.
Round 1 winner, Josh Grant, scored fourth on his JGR Yamaha and Factory Red Bull Honda’s Andrew Short was fifth which allowed RV to overtake him for fourth in the title race by one point.

Supercross Lites

Jake Weimer - San Francisco
Jake Weimer collected another win and is holding strong in his bid for a Western Region Lites championship.
Jake Weimer led all 15 laps of the 250F main event as the West SX Lites resumed action at AT&T Park. The Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider held off points leader, Ryan Dungey, who rounded the first lap in third but quickly moved to the runner-up position. Dungey still leads the championship by four points. GEICO Powersports Honda’s Trey Canard finally found his rhythm and landed in third. It was a fairly uneventful race inside the top-3 as all the podium riders were in their final positions from Lap 2 until Lap 12 when Dungey slipped to third, but the Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider was able to recover.
