Chad Reed has lost his championship lead as James Stewart claimed another win and tied the Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider at 152 points apiece. Stewart put his San Manuel L&M Yamaha on the top box for the sixth time this season since losing the opening round in Anaheim. San Diego fans were treated to a 20-lap fiesta by Stewart with Reed running second the whole time.

Chad Reed continues to chase James Stewart on the track, but Stewart is no longer playing catch-up in the point standings.
Broc Hepler ran up front in third for the first three laps but dropped to mid-pack on Lap 4. Andrew Short took advantage and claimed third which he carried through the checkers. Monster Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto sailed across in fourth and Red Bull Honda’s Davi Millsaps was fifth.

Shorty is now 30 points behind Stewart and Reed while Josh Gran sits in fourth after a DNF tonight.

Ryan Dungey - Phoenix
Ryan Dungey returned to his winning ways and has a slight two-point advantage over Jake Weimer for the title.
Ryan Dungey got back into the driver’s seat of the AMA Western Supercross Lites class with a victory in Qualcomm Stadium. The Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider led all 15 laps of the main event and retook the championship lead from Jake Weimer. Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Weimer posted the fastest time with a 46.8-second lap and finished third behind his teammate, Ryan Morais. Dungey holds a two-point lead over Weimer with Morais another nine points adrift.

Trey Canard landed in fourth with Ryan Sipes and MDK/KTM teammate, Justin Brayton in tow.
