French rider Jules Cluzel topped the time sheets during Friday’s first 250cc Free Practice session. He set his fastest lap time of 1:53.512 halfway through the hour-long session in full wet conditions aboard his Matteoni Racing Aprilia 250.

Czech rider Karl Abraham finished fourth-fastest despite crashing late in the practice session. He was uninjured in the crash. Fifth went to the Frenchman Mike Di Meglio.
