Jake Zemke will get an opportunity to impress as he pilots the SBK Stiggy Honda at Monza.
Erion Honda rider
Jake Zemke will race the upcoming World Superbike round at Monza aboard the Stiggy Honda CBR1000RR. The long-time AMA Superbike contender replaces the injured John Hopkins and will ride next to the top CBR man in the SBK series, teammate Leon Haslam.
Zemke has been having a so-so season in the all-new AMA Pro Road Racing Daytona SportBike class with the Erion Honda CBR600RR, but the opportunity gives the American a chance to compete once again on the Honda literbike.
Zemke has plenty of experience with the
Honda superbike, having contended numerous campaigns for the factory-supported American Honda AMA Superbike team. Zemke’s participation will once again bring the American SBK presence back up to two, joining three-time
AMA Superbike champion
Ben Spies.
