PSWhite - Tooele WSBK  October 19, 2009 08:15 PM
The SBK schedule is usually: Day 1 practice Day 2 Superpole (late in the afternoon) and Day 3 is Race Day. The Superbikes race first, then the 600's, and then the second SBK race. SBK always races both races on the same day. Superpole is fun to watch but I think the old Superpole format was better. Usually, there aren't very many people at the track on Day 1 so it's a good day to get photos and autographs with the racers. In 2008, it was a joint race with the AMA but in 2009 AMA cancelled and was replaced by some Utah club races. Several AMA racers were wild cards in the WSBK race. The grandstands are covered which is great in case of rain or too much sun. The 3 day ticket includes admission, reserved grandstand seats, & paddock access costs $148. Parking is free and there is a free shuttle that will take passengers from one part of the venue to the other side. They have plenty of restrooms with flush toilets and they sell beer.

I have never been to a race before. It looks like they will be racing on Monday, May 31st. When do you suggest going down? Is Day 1 qualifying, Day 2 Race 1, Day 3 Race 2?

Attended WSBK in Tooele last 2 years....great venue, 2 day ride from CA and a 1 day long ride home on Monday. Salt Lake City airport is only @20 min from Miller Motorsports track, lots of hotels near Salt Lake City and NO PRICE GOUGING like at Monterey hotels!

I am excited it looks to be another exciting year in World Super Bike; I am with you x2468, the USA is a big country. Can you please race where there are more fans; Who the h**l lives in Salt Lake City, all the way east or west.
x2468 - more north american rounds  October 9, 2009 12:01 AM
they need more north american rounds. I'd like to see them go to Laguna, Barber, or maybe even Mt. Tremblant near montreal which is only like 6-7 hours from Boston or NYC and a fun ride at that (look it up). Heck it would even be cool to see them at Daytona hitting the banking lol. Even though the infield is pretty subpar for world superbike. Also, i'd like to see them go to Suzuka. they race the FIM endurance championship there.
