Jordan Suzuki to Contest American Superbike

Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Michael Jordan Motor Sports riders will compete in the 2009 AMA Pro Racing American Superbike class aboard the all new 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 machinery. Aaron Yates and Geoff May, riding for the team’s Jordan Brand and National Guard sponsored entries respectively, will pilot the bikes.

“Suzuki has proven that its products are superior on the race track and Gemini Technology Systems have found good formulas to help put our riders up front,” said Kreig Robinson, Michael Jordan Motor Sports Director of Business Development . “There is an incredible amount of development done by our team to get the most out of the motorcycle for racing, but it starts with a great platform, and that’s what Suzuki provides.”

Suzuki has been a partner of Michael Jordan Motor Sports since 2005, providing motorcycles and OEM parts.

Suzuki certainly has the AMA record to go on. I imagine their new Gixxer Thou will perform quite well.
