Roger Hayden Will Not Race Daytona 200

Roger Hayden - Attack Kawasaki
Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki's Roger Hayden will not race the upcoming Daytona 200.
Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. announced today that road racer Roger Hayden has been granted a leave of absence from the team and will not participate in the upcoming Daytona 200 in Daytona Beach, Fla.

According to Mike Preston, Kawasaki Road Racing manager, the leave is because of personal reasons.

“Roger is a valued member of the extended Kawasaki family, and the relationship is one of mutual respect and understanding. We look forward to him rejoining the team as soon as possible,” said Preston.

Kawasaki has posted two consecutive one-two podium finishes at the Daytona 200, and the Monster Energy® Attack Kawasaki effort next week will be led by Hayden’s teammate, Jamie Hacking.

We are trying to get word on what's going on. Obviously RL is one of our favorite riders as well and although we might not want to know what's going on - we'll still try to find out.

Sorry Boyz....after reading the article a second time I see that it's a leave of absence not just from one race. That's worse!!! Roger is in my top four favorites in the AMA. Big disappointment. Hey Duhamel, wanta ride a Kawi this year????

I'm not a fourteen year old gossiping chik by any means....but I have to know. What is up???? You just can't take a day off in the AMA, espically opening day at Daytona-the home of your new owner.
