AMA Pro Racing Barber Superpole

Mat Mladin took the pole position for Round 4 of American Superbike at Barber Motorsports Park with a time of 1’25.652, with fellow Rockstar Makita Suzuki teammate Blake Young less than two-tenths behind in second. Geoff May had the next quickest time at 1’26.252 to claim the top three spots for Suzuki GSX-R1000 riders. Josh Hayes (1’26.316), Tommy Hayden (1’26.316), and Ben Bostrom (1’26.679) took spots three through five with two Yamahas and another Suzuki. Ducati’s Larry Pegram (

Mat Mladin won the American Superbike pole for the weekend at Barber, stepping ever closer to another dominating victory in the class. Someone make it stop.

Jason DiSalvo’s time of 1’28.816 made the M4 EMGO Suzuki rider the pole winner for the Daytona SportBike class,  beating the second-fastest Jamie Hackling (Kawasaki) by four-tenths of a second. Chaz Davies’ Aprilia RSV1000 ran the third-fastest lap (1’29.319). Notably absent from the top 10 in the Superpole session was RMR Buell 1125R roder and current points leader Danny Eslick.
