Blake Young - American Superbike Race 1 Road America 2009
Rockstar Suzuki's Blake Young moved to the top of the time sheet Saturday morning in American Superbike at Laguna.
Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Blake Young set the fastest time in Saturday morning’s American Superbike practice session. Young shaved over a second and a half over his best time yesterday, despite the morning’s cool track temperature. Second went to Jordan Suzuki’s Aaron Yates who also managed to better his time from yesterday.

Current series points leader Mat Mladin again finished third right a few hundredth of a second behind Yates. The final Rockstar Suzuki ridden by Tommy Hayden finished just behind Mladin. Larry Pegram aboard his Ducati 1098R was the top non-Suzuki mounted finisher in fifth, just a half a second behind class leader Young. Corona Honda’s Jake Holden who was fastest yesterday slipped back to eighth position.

Roadracing World’s Russ Wikle set the fastest time in Supersport practice despite taking a crash late in the session. Second went to Ricky Parker followed by Tomas Puerta.

M4 Suzuki’s Jason DiSalvo nipped out teammate Martin Cardenas at the end of Saturday mornings Daytona SportBike practice. Yamaha’s Ben Bostrom, who is making his second appearance in the class after Daytona was third. Aprilia’s Chaz Davies moved up to fourth after suffering bike problems yesterday. Erion Honda’s Jake Zemke finished fifth and yesterday’s Daytona SportBike fast guy Roger Lee Hayden was sixth.
